Keeping in mind the low rate of literacy and lack of academic awareness in the rural belt, Bhai Gurdass Educational Society (Regd.) Bathinda pledged to give a new ray of hope to the people by opening an educational institution providing value based, stress free, quality education at an affordable cost. This institution has been brought up with an aim to create better opportunities for the growth and development of the young generation as per the future needs of the rapidly changing environment. The school got it is name "Prabh Ki Saran" (PKS) from the holy verses of Guru Granth Sahib after the holy prayers at the time of its foundation in April 2003 on Barnala bye pass road, Bathinda City. In 2007, this shrine of knowledge and learning renamed as PKS International School was shifted to a spacious, pollution free location at Bathinda-Malout Road, Balluana (Bathinda). S. Sukhdev Singh, a visionary with passion for the cause of education along with all members of the society have given inspiration to the school to grow as an institution of repute.
